Evy!!! // Headshot Photography

It was a rainy day in San Francisco (shocking isn’t it?) It was the girls second to last day in town and we decided to go explore the Marina to do some shopping and watch the Arizona Wildcats try to beat UConn (they failed). While exploring the beautiful houses between Presidio and Pacific Heights I decided that the light was too good to pass up. So I made each of the girls sit down to take a couple of headshots, just so I could test out the light.

The girls didn’t sit down for more than 2 minutes each, but I came out with pictures that could easily go into my portfolio!

The Next Top Chef is Kendra

There are many things that excite me about my move to Los Angeles. I think the one thing that excites me the most is the fact that I get to taste Kendra’s cooking now and then. Seriously, this girl in the kitchen is magic. It was Fat Tuesday when I was down in LA and Kendra decided to make some gumbo before we hit up the huge Mardi Gras party in West Hollywood. Her friends raved the whole night on how every single time she cooks, friends travel the universe, just to get a taste. LeelooDallasMultiPass.

Such. A. Fun. & Delicious. Night.

Also, can you tell from the pictures above that Kendra is an international supermodel?

L.A. Dreamin’

Once it actually hit me that I was moving to Los Angeles, I started to have all these doubts and fears. I kept wondering if I was making the right decision and was asking myself if it was too soon to move after I just have moved to San Francisco. Also, San Francisco has decided to be amazing the last couple of months in retaliation. I decided to go down to Los Angeles for a good ten days to actually get to know the city. All I’ve known about Los Angeles since I was 6-months old was Disneyland and Six Flags Magic Mountain. It wasn’t until a spring break with my buddies that I explored other areas of the city.

After ten days in LA, I can honestly say that I am now more excited than nervous about the move. The circle of friends I have down there is strong and because of that I met so many new people and made great new friends. I even developed a nice network of contacts with other photographers that I admire. I hung out with celebrities and supermodels and even annoyed a couple of them.

Ironically enough, as soon as I decided to make the move I started booking in San Francisco more and more. I don’t mind at all. The drive (or flight) up to SF is nice and quick and I get to explore this city that I love even more once I leave.

LA is going to be awesome. I just know it.

A Wonderful Day in Sonoma

We woke up on Saturday to a gloomy day in San Francisco. Actually, it was gloomy almost the entire time the girls were here visiting. Unfortunate, because I am looking out the window now and it couldn’t be sunnier and more beautiful now that they are gone. Briana was flying in at 10 am, and our plan was to wake up, get ready, go grab her and head straight to Sonoma.

Due to many pitchers of beer the night before, it didn’t exactly go that way. But once Briana flew in, we got ready and headed to Sonoma. Even with the rainy weather, the sun would come out in spots and the landscape was BREATHTAKING. Almost all the wine stops we did were amazing, but the one that definitely stood out was Eric Ross. It was just 4 girls and myself in there for a good amount of time, but lets just say we definitely left an impression. They couldn’t have been nicer and the wine was incredible. I bought three bottles.

It was just one of those days were everything went perfectly. Surrounded by good friends, exploring new areas and just having the time of your life. It was incredible and one of the funnest days in recent memory. I am so glad I was able to enjoy it with all my girls.

The day in Sonoma ended with one of the most incredible meals ever at The Fig Cafe, but that is an entry all on its own.

Also, CHOCOLATE WINE SHOTS are my new favorite thing.
